One of the best attributes of the City of Berkeley Lake is its citizens and their level of involvement and community leadership. A wonderful example of this was the recent water wheel restoration project. When the old wheel in Berkeley Lake’s Henderson Nature Sanctuary needed repair, citizens Mark Jacobson and John Homonek came together for community fundraising drive that resulted in the reopening of the water flow of this unique feature.
